It is entirely personal. The motivation to seek enhancement of physical appearance (e. g. shape) or rejuvenation (e. g. the reconstruction of a youthful shape) should come from within the individual person. The individual perceives some aspect of his/her shape, which in their totality makes up his or her appearance, as a problem in a non obsessive fashion and desires a remedy. Why a person selects this way of action instead of another (e. g. just live with the problem) or perceives certain shapes as unsatisfactory are all value judgments. Our values differ, while we share some. Thus, aesthetic surgery is entirely a personal journey.
